Óscar García Maceiras has been CEO of Inditex since November 30, 2021, when he took over from Carlos Crespo. Until then, the executive was general secretary and secretary of the board of directors of the Spanish group. The executive had assumed the position at the beginning of 2021, replacing Antonio Abril. García, a law graduate, has worked as a state lawyer, director of legal counsel and deputy secretary of the board of directors of Banco Santander. Following the departure of Pablo Isla, García Maceiras became the company's top executive on April 1st, 2022.
